PayPerPost has rolled a direct-purchase service for advertisers to target bloggers to write posts for them. This is similar to the ReviewMe badges, but the difference is in the amount of commission the broker takes: ReviewMe takes 50% of the price of the post, whereas PayPerPost Direct is only 10%. This is a great development for bloggers, obviously. It’s also a great for the advertiser because they can target the best bloggers that match best with their niche, rather than be subject to the sometimes-inaccurate categorization bloggers use in PPP. Finally, it’s good for PPP because it opens the market up for new advertisers who aren’t yet comfortable with being dumped into a blogger-free-for-all. Advertisers may spend a little more for each post, but the money will proably be better spent.
