I almost never check out craigslist, but wandered over there this evening and saw this ad:
I imagine it works. I understand the motivation - .edu domains supposedly have more Google juice. Still, I think you’re better off in the long run going with a company that has a marketplace like PPP, ReviewMe, and Linkworth. At least you’ll know you’re getting paid. I’m willing to bet they don’t want disclosure, however. If anyone with an .edu blog checks this out, I’d appreciate to hear what the terms are.
