Oh. My.

Mr. Fab and Pete would like to thank all who attended their wedding. I was giving away the bride. Doesn’t Pete look excited?

Anyway, I had a real treat this morning - a preview of ARGUS, which I’m pretty sure is an acronym for “Arrington’s Really Gonna Shit”, at PPP Command Central. Some outstanding bloggers were there for a focus group: Mr. Fabulous, Colleen, Kat, and Cheryl (Cheryl’s new blog). And me, implementing my usual strategy of ‘if you can’t BE great, associate with great people and hope it rubs off’.

I wish I could tell you all about it, but Ted Murphy, PPP CEO & Plenipotentiary made us sign an NDA that said something about “keep your big mouth shut” and something else about “…your left nut and shove it down your throat”. And since we all know what a bunch of thugs FSU grads are, I take the threat seriously. After all, he is the most evil person in the room.

Ahem. Wink

But, I think it’s safe to say I left shaking my head in wonder. They get it. They totally get it.

“Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed citizens to change the world. Indeed, it has never been done otherwise.” - Margaret Mead

No, I’m not gushing. Just impressed. If you were wondering what the VC’s were thinking when they committed $10M to PPP… well, I just wish I had $10M to invest. Yeah, THAT good.

If you’re not an advertiser with PPP yet… you will be. You won’t be able to help yourself.

We also spent an hour or so giving specific feedback, opinions, rants and whatnot about the current state of PPP. I am allowed to blog about that. But I won’t. Suffice it to say, the cameras had to be shut off at one point. Many great points were made by people with a vision of what PPP can be, and I can’t think of much with which I particularly disagreed.

After all of that, I had the best cheeseburger I’ve had in a very long time.

Much thanks for the warm welcome to all the PPP-ers I met today: Veronique, Karen, Pete, Steve, Luke, and the people whose names I forgot because I’m old.
