Ok, it looks like I’ve recovered the posts. Still no comments, though. If anyone has some bright ideas, let me know.
Lesson learned: Export your posts to an xml file at whatever frequency you’re comfortable with doing back-ups. I believe it will save comments as well, but I’m not sure - I’ll find out, though.
If you’ve commented here in the past, I encourage you to go back and comment again. I use Lucia’s Linky Love plugin to enable DoFollow on comments. This plugin gives DoFollow status to any commenter after the 3rd comment. Unfortunately, I could not go "all DoFollow" because I was immediately spammed. I think this is a good compromise. Going back and commenting will help you get to DoFollow status that much quicker.
Again, my profound apologies for letting this happen. I’m still sick over the whole thing, but I’m trying to make the best of a bad situation.
