NFL to sell ads on team websites

Hope they "nofollow" those ads. Would hate to see them take a google penalty…
From the Tampa Bay Business Journal:
The National Football League is closing in on a new digital media model that would see the league sell advertising across all 32 team Web sites for the first time while clubs would keep sponsorship space for themselves as well, league sources said.
The plan comes out of the new NFL Internet working group committee, a nine-team panel that met earlier this month in Chicago. The group is charged with crafting a hybrid approach to the Internet by not going all the way down the road to complete league control but moving away from the current, decentralized system.
How conflicts between league advertisers and team sponsors are handled is still being sifted through, and any ultimate plan must be approved by an owners’ vote. The owners next meet Oct. 22 in Philadelphia.
The NFL declined to comment on the ongoing discussions.
